The Company

Our client is a highly respected engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, energy, and asset-intensive projects throughout New Zealand.

With a growing project pipeline they are seeking an experienced CAD Revit Lead to take ownership of design standards, mentor a team of designers, and drive best practice across the Civil & Structural division.

The Role

As CAD Revit Lead, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of high-quality design documentation across a diverse range of industrial and infrastructure projects. This position combines hands-on technical delivery with leadership responsibilities, providing guidance to designers while helping shape the future direction of the CAD and digital design function.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to the highest technical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production and review of Civil & Structural design documentation using Revit and associated design platforms.
  • Mentor, support, and develop junior and intermediate designers within the team.
  • Establish and maintain CAD and Revit standards, workflows, templates, and best practices.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy across all project deliverables.
  • Coordinate closely with engineers and project stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across digital design systems and processes.
  • Manage drawing control, revisions, approvals, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and delivery outcomes.
  • Skills and Experience
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD & Revit with strong Civil & Structural design experience.
  • Background delivering industrial, manufacturing, processing plant, energy, heavy engineering, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing designers within a project environment.
  • Strong understanding of design coordination, drawing management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
